Player Reserve Sarawak vs Selangor!

KUCHING: Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts is not going to lose any sleep over the absence of key players when facing the much fancied Selangor in their showdown at the State Stadium in Petra Jaya tomorrow night.

It is a well known fact that Sarawak will be playing without the services of their prolific midfielder Guy Bwelle, chief striker Joel Epalle, flankers Rashid Aya and Benedict Martin while the back department will be without central defender Mazwandi Zakaria.

Guy Bwele tidak diturunkan kerana digantung 2 perlawanan (6 kad kuning)
“Guy Bwelle will be serving his two match suspension after collecting his sixth yellow card while the others are still nursing their injuries… but I hope Joel will be given the clearance to play,” he said during their daily workouts session at Sarawak State Sports Council (MSNS) gymnasium, Civic Centre yesterday.

“I am therefore counting on my young players- Mohd Izulazlan, Zamri Morshidi, Shahrol Saperi and Shahran Samad, to name a few, to help us get full points at home,” said Alberts on how he will be banking on his young players to shoulder the responsibility to deliver the points tomorrow night which is expected to be an explosive match.

The quartet of young players, he observed had shown compounded development in their recent games and they are expected to perform similarly well in the much anticipated match against the Red Giants.

“We will be honoured to fulfill the trust of our coaches and to help Sarawak get full point against the national star-studded team like Selangor at home,” said Izulazlan when asked on the possibility to be fielded in the first eleven tomorrow.

“My players are ready to run down a team which has in depth strength from the five national players who have vast international experiences and exposures, but they knew that they are not expecting a stroll especially when facing Sarawak at home,” Alberts said on the anticipated second leg match which would be very interesting as both teams would be gunning to collect full points.

“Our first-leg match at Stadium Shah Alam ended in a scoreless draw and tomorrow’s game is expected to be a gift for Sarawak fans who are making a comeback into State Stadium,” he said while disclosing that Hairol Mohktar is back after serving his suspension.

He hoped that Sarawak fans will once again filled the terraces and would give their much needed support to the team.

My Prediction: Sarawak menang 1-0
