Ramos Sari - No 3 |
KUCHING - Ramos Sari almost single-handedly destroyed Pahang last night at the State Stadium when he hit home four goals.
This was a wondrous performance by the Crocs which did their chances for a semifinal berth in the Malaysia Cup plenty of good. And what a performance in front of their 20,000 fans in their last home game.
Ramos was a delight as he slotted in the goals in the 16th, 65th, 71st and 76th minute. He scored the second goal through a volley. The pint-sized midfielder scored the last goal when he received a pass from Billy Bone.
With neighbours Sabah doing Sarawak a big favour by defeating Perlis 1-0, the victory put Sarawak in second spot.
The match started with both teams looking for goals. Pahang, fielding almost the same 11 that defeated Sabah last Saturday, had a first look at goal when Istvan Borsos tested Mazlan Wahed with a long range shot in the 10th minute.
Two minutes later, Ramos sounded a warning with a teasing volley which sailed inches wide.
The Crocs took their chance clinically when Ramos slammed the ball past Zuraimi Hassan for his first goal. The move started with Ahmad Fairuz Yunus sending a through ball to Alistair Edwards whose cross caused the Pahang defence gasping as Ramos rushed in. Alistair brought the fans to their feet when his chip from a difficult position inside the box sailed just wide.
Pahang tried to get back into the game and could have when Borsos dribbled past Dahlan Matusin and Zaidel Sakup but hit the side netting.
Mazlan Wahid was equal to whatever Pahang tried to throw at him. Azizul Kamaluddin had a try when receiving a pass from Zolst Bucs and Mazlan denied him. The Crocs returned after the breather looking a bit sluggish giving plenty of space to their opponents. The homesters used both flanks but Pahang read their game plan well.
After 10 minutes, the Crocs woke up. An Affendi Julaihi and Billy Bone combination had the goal staring in front but Affendi ballooned the ball.
Then Ramos struck at the heart of the Elephants. The crowd roared in delight when he scored the second goal when he chipped over a helpless Zuraimi. In the 65th minute, he connected from a pass from Alistair to earned his hattrick. The nippy midfielder got the fourth goal when he collected a loose ball and beat the Pahang custodian from the edge of the box.
The second half belonged almost entirely to the Crocs who gave no room for Pahang to breathe. Alistair and Zaidel also had their chances but Zuraimi denied them.

Legendary Ramos Sari |
p/s: Hasil daripada maklumat dari saudara Joe Jr saya telah mengenal pasti seorang lagi pemegang jaringan terbanyak dalam satu perlawanan iaitu RAMOS SARI iaitu sebanyak 4 GOL! As a midfielder memang sangat-sangat jarang berlaku.. Hatrik pun susah dek-dek lagik 4 gol.. Nang tabik spring lah dengan Ramos yang terkenal dengan kepantasan larian serta individual skill..
Bersama kembar nya Ramles Sari, mereka muncul agak lewat iaitu di penghujung umur 20-an..
